The "Zlatni Rat" beach

On the way to Hvar island, you will pass by one of the nicest beaches on the Dalmatian coast. Translated "Golden Horn", the beach is not sandy, but made of tiniest pebbles. It also moves - the currents and winds make this place unique each day. Anchoring is possible, but may need two tries. There are also mooring buoys and a town quay. Make sure to calculate in the wind that is always present - which is also the reason why there is a great windsurfing centre on the beach. Hikers will also get a fair share of joy - Vidova gora, the highest peak of all Dalmatian islands, rewards a 2-hour hike with a once-in-a-lifetime view.
