There are almost too many to name but here are our five favourite beaches that you simply cannot miss during a Spanish sailing holiday...

Cala Formentor

Sitting pretty on the northern side of Mallorca is world-famous Cala Formentor beach, where you can take in breath-taking panoramic views of the Belearic Sea and Tramuntana Mountains from atop the lookout point of the historic lighthouse. A designated Blue Flag beach, Cala Formentor is especially popular among the yachting community because of its delightfully-warm, clear, tranquil waters. There are also two restaurants and an ice cream shop located on the beach.

Cala Mesquida

Attention all nature lovers! Cala Mesquida is the spot for you! From the diverse scenery featuring teeming pine trees, sand dunes, and rocky boulders to the flourishing bird colonies located nearby, Cala Mesquida is a visually stunning beach that is every bit as long as it is beautiful. Not only does the beach span across 300 meters but the depth of the ocean remains shallow pretty far in for easy swimming and other water activities. You can even enjoy horseback riding through the sand dunes while visiting north eastern-situated Cala Mesquida Beach.

Camp de Mar Beach Mallorca

Cala Mondrago

An unspoiled seaside sanctuary located on the south side of the island, Cala Mondrago beach boasts soft-sand, shallow waters, and superb snorkelling conditions. Glass-bottom boat tours are available here, or you can just soak up the sun and enjoy endless amounts of undisturbed relaxation time. Cala Mondrago beach is ideal for families because of its protected waters and main beach facilities.

Playa d'Alcúdia

Considered by many to be one of Spain’s best beaches, Playa d’Alcúdia offers gentle, shallow waters and plenty of soft white sand. Situated on the north end of the island of Mallorca, Playa d’Alcúdia is a bustling but beautiful beach where fantastic holiday memories come to life. There are several seaside bars and restaurants that line the beach, and for those in search of an adrenaline-rush, watersports rentals, including jet skis and parasailing excursions are also available.

Sa Calobra

Sa Calobra beach offers an especially unique experience because of the way it is naturally wedged between two cliffs on the western side of Mallorca. The beach itself is somewhat narrow and it is covered in small stones rather than sand. The crystal-clear water is perfect for swimming and on shore, there are a number of popular hiking trails located nearby.

These are just some of the beaches found along the captivating shores of Mallorca that we highly recommend but there are numerous others worthy of your precious holiday time. Come aboard and discover the many wonders that await on a Spain sailing charter!
